We are both well here. Our house is all decked out for Xmas and the New Year.
Note the panoramic unobstructed greenery view from our 30th floor window.
Casey continues to teach part time at the National University of Singapore. I am pleased that his good mind is not going to waste. He enjoys the work. Casey is planning a short trip to Bangkok in January. He is attending a conference and is to give a seminar on patents, due diligence, etc.
I keep myself out of mischief with the “local oldies” doing activities at the Precious Active Aging Centre. I spend about 3 to 4 hours/week exercising at the PAAC. As will I attend social outings. I also puppy sit for my neighbour when she is out of country visiting family. Wawa is am elderly dog that needs numerous walks daily. Good for both of us. Otherwise, not too busy and I love it!
We also have a tenant, a young lady from Malaysia. We don’t cook for her, but she can prepare her own simple meals or eat out depending on her social life. It’s rather nice to have some young blood in our home.
It’s been a quiet year for us. No overseas travelling but did take 2 bus trips to Malaysia with the PAAC, mostly to shop. (Here, that is classified as an overseas trip. To us it’s just crossing a bridge.) I couldn’t face another long plane trip this year as I was so ill during and after my return home last fall (‘24). I walked off the plane at Toronto the last trip with sore throat and a mild fever. This has become an annual event that I had hoped would go away after the prolonged Covid stay at home bit. I did visit with a few friends and family. It took me to December to stop coughing and spewing. And that’s in spite of flu, pneumonia vaccinations prior! I will attempt another one in ’26. Wish me luck.
That’s it for now. Do take care. We wish for you a happy healthy New Year.
